English writing ability is considered a significant criterion for assessing students' learning ability and teachers' teaching ability.As an important aspect of English teaching,English writing reflects the learners' English language skills to a large extent.Therefore,it is very necessary to explore an effective way to improve students' English writing abilities.Students' writing ability is an essential aspect for evaluating their English proficiency.However,teacher feedback is still the dominant way of offering feedback on students' English writing in senior high schools.With the prevalence of the Process Approach,the efficiency of the peer feedback has become one of the focused issues in the research.This thesis attempts to examine the effectiveness of peer feedback in senior high schools,trying to seek answers to the following questions.1.What effects does peer feedback have on students' emotional attitude?2.What effects does peer feedback have on students' writing proficiency?In line with the above questions,a four-month teaching experiment was conducted in NO.2 Middle School in Susong.Tests,questionnaires as well as interviews are used as research instruments to get relevant data analysis.For quantitative analysis,SPSS21.0 is used to analyze data from the questionnaire and for qualitative analysis,interview will offer the scientific data for the supplement of the research.The results of the research have showed that:(1)peer feedback can help students improve their emotional attitude to some degree.It helps to enhance students' interest and confidence in writing.(2)Peer feedback has a positive impact on the improvement of students' English writing level.It is an effective way to improve the students' English writing skills.
