Franz Seraphicus Peter Schube,an Austrian composer of the 19 th century,is one of the outstanding composers of the Romantic Period. The artistic songs that he created not only inherit the characteristics of classical music, but also have a romantic style, which were very refreshing and shining at the moment. Not only did his works push German and Austrian art songs into a glorious age,but also had a great influence on the creation of art songs after that. Most of his works are selected from local folk songs or based on the poetry. As a result, they are extremely literariness and full of romance and freshness, just the perfect combination of music and poetry.Meanwhile, through his works,Schubert described his inner thoughts vividly, expressing his pursuit of freedom and bright prospects, also his yearning for romantic love. From his works,we can deeply understand the current social situation and the people's ideals at that time.Taking the personal "German-Austrian Art Songs" lecture concert as an example,I will analyze Schubert's artistic songs from the aspects of creative features, singing style and artistic treatment. On the basis of the existing theoretical research, coupling with the singing practice in the concert and analysis,I hope to provide some experience and value for the people who study, sing and appreciate Schubert's art songs in the future.
