Cloudy is the vital elements in the creation of landscape paintings.Many expression methods of clouds in the works of landscape paintings in the past dynasties,especially for the treatment of images,the expression of artistic conception and the arrangement of layers are play a pivotal role in creating landscape paintings.By summarizing the four main cloudy performance techniques of the predecessors,those are sfumato,linear definition,blank leaving,multiple methods respectively,the painter analysis the visual feeling brought by the different techniques of cloudy.The painter thinks that the cloudy in traditional paintings are play an irreplaceable role in the emotional expression in the picture except the function of cloudy in hierarchical separation and spatial hint.Combined with the origin of the intention,the application of layout and the exploration,summary of sketching and copying in the creation process of the landscape painting,the theme painting of “Looking at the cloudy as the mountain moving” was created.In particular practice of creation,painter records the problems encountered in the process of painting creation from ideation selection to technique exploration and some solutions.Through the process of sorting out the cloudy,the painter summarizes the changes of the situation and color scale of clouds and mists in different time and space,and transforms them into brush and ink language to express the artistic conception.In addition,the painter wants to bring viewers a kind of emotion and mood through the artistic means of handling cloudy.Although the Chinese landscape painting have undergone thousands of years developing and the technique of cloudy have changed with times.It is eternal that the feeling and emotions brought by this beautiful floating of cloudy.
