Appellation is an indispensable part of people's communication language,which is also the first message transmitted to each other in communication.The differences in Chinese regional culture and dialects,the differences in written and spoken languages,the coexistence of ancient Chinese appellation and modern Chinese appellation have resulted in the diversity of Chinese appellation,in other words,the Chinese appellation system is very complex.Thereinto,due to the great changes in women's social status and the sensitive feelings of women,users have to consider more complicated factors when using female appellation terms.Currently,there are some achievements in the comparison of Chinese and South Korean appellations,but there are few comparative studies of Chinese and South Korean female appellations.Hence first,on the basis of previous studies,this paper makes a comparative study of Chinese and South Korean female appellations to clarify the similarities and differences between Chinese and South Korean female appellations.Second,it puts forward the main pragmatic principles that should be followed when using Chinese female appellations,namely,politeness principle and appropriateness principle.Third,the use of Chinese female appellations by South Korean students is investigated by means of questionnaires.According to the results of this survey,some pragmatic failure reasons are analyzed as follows:The first is the lack of understanding of Chinese women's appellation culture;The second is that the application principle of Chinese female appellation is not clear enough;The third is the lack of relevant teaching content in classroom learning.In the end,this paper puts forward some suggestions to improve the teaching of Chinese appellation for South Korean students,mainly focusing on the teaching method of Chinese appellation for Korean students.From the perspectives of vocabulary teaching and culture teaching,it proposes some suggestions on the overall teaching of Chinese appellation,and sets up the content of the teaching of Chinese appellation in stages.
