In recent years,with the support and guidance of national policies,the scale of cultural industry has been growing.Under the dual stimulation of market demand and policy support of relevant countries,the number of mergers and acquisitions among enterprises in cultural industry is increasing year by year.More and more cultural enterprises have enhanced their influence and competitiveness in the market and expanded the scale of enterprises through mergers and acquisitions.This paper chooses Tangel Publishing Merger and Acquisition Magic Universe as a case study,Based on the research of related literature on mergers and acquisitions,this paper first summarizes the concepts and theories of mergers and acquisitions and mergers and acquisitions performance.Firstly,this paper summarizes the related concepts and theories of M&A and M&A performance,secondly,it introduces the basic situation of Tangel Publishing and Magic Universe,Combining with the relevant theories of M&A,this paper analyses the motivation of Tangel Publishing M&A Magic Universe,Then it uses event analysis method and financial index analysis method to analyze the market effect and financial performance of M&A,and draws relevant conclusions and enlightenments.Through the research,we find that Tangel Publishing M&AMagic Universe has brought new opportunities to the development of Tangel Publishing,The market effect brought by this M&A activity is positive.M&A has brought a great improvement to the stock of Tangel Publishing in the short term,and increased the short-term wealth value to shareholders.In terms of financial performance,mergers and acquisitions make the profitability of enterprises has been significantly improved,but the business ability of enterprises has not been significantly improved.
