Since the birth of the film,children have participated as an important performance object.What is more important is that children's thinking and film thinking are similar to some extent.Children's expression and artistic expression express human reactions in concrete and abstract,indirect and direct forms.This commonality is condensed in children's movies.What is disappointing is that Chinese children's films,which have a history of nearly one hundred years,face a creative predicament such as lack of subject matter,single expression,outdated ideas,and insufficient thinking of children.In the new century,some creators have begun to actively explore the development of children's films.Although the film creation has changed,it still faces many problems.In the new century,Chinese children's film creation reflects the exploration consciousness of art workers,and effectively explores the theme of children's movies,characters,narrative means,audio-visual processing,and provides nutritious spiritual food for children's audience.The creator's memory of childhood life in time and space,and the nostalgia of traditional culture are contained in children's movies.The film's material life and spiritual display of children,the narrative of children's innocence and adult experience,reflects the creators' humanistic care and social reflection.In the new century,creators deliberately avoid the image of children in the past and create a lively and lovely image of “playing” children.However,due to the limitations of creative thinking,they create a “small adult” image that does not conform to real children.Content and form create a situation in which children's image is single and scarce.In the new century,creators try to stand in the perspective of children's audiences and consider the understanding ability of children's audiences.The story of the film is mostly a succinct structure,a single-line narrative,to dilute the plot,reflecting the children's reality and the reality of the film,but also lacks appreciation.The narrative space caters to children's thinking,alternating with real space and illusory space(dreams and fantasy)to meet the child's love of fantasy.In the new century,Chinese children's films began to explore the imagery of children's hearts and minds in the audio-visual language,adding animation elements and exploring the sounds full of childlikeness.However,most of the films use the slow-paced rhythm to control the language of the lens,which inevitably causes the film to be single and boring..In short,the creation of children's films in the new century has some reforms and innovations compared to the past,but it still has defects compared with foreign classic children's movies.Children's film creation is not close to children's thinking and children's emotions,creation techniques are single,lack of theme,and the story lacks appreciation.Therefore,the Chinese children's film is still in the stage of exploration,and has not yet developed into a mature concept of children's movies.It still requires creators to constantly strive and innovate.
