Shen Congwen is one of the few writers in the history of modern and contemporary Chinese literature to actively explore identity issues.The reason is his own complex identity background and ups and downs of personal experience.From the geographical migration of Xiangxi to Beijing,the cultural differences between the Miao and Han nationalities have caused his multiple cultural identities.Shen Congwen's identity issue involves both ethnic issues and ethnic diaspora,because he grew up in the environment of ethnic minorities such as Miao and Tujia.The establishment of the early self-system and the urban culture he later came into contact with.Differences,so he has produced a lot of contradictions in the process of integration with Han culture.This is exactly in line with the post-colonial identity formed in the 1960s.This article consists of four chapters:The first chapter explains the reasons for the emergence of Shen Congwen's identity crisis.The internal reason is the cognitive bias of self-identity.The external reason is that the decline of Xiangxi world leads to the inability of young people to think in the local.The second chapter discusses the identity crisis faced by Shen Congwen in a foreign land after leaving his hometown.The disappointment of urban culture makes him constantly find the ideal destination in the local culture of Xiangxi,eager to re-identify the culture of Xiangxi;the third chapter is "Border Town" For example,it discusses Shen Congwen's contradictory views on local culture and the turning point of self-identity.The fourth chapter demonstrates Shen Congwen's identity change in the final intellectuals after facing reality.In the process of "distribution" in the perennial period,Shen Congwen reminisced about the style of his homeland and accepted the influence of modern civilization.This contradiction brought him the double anxiety and pain of identity and belonging.In order to alleviate this anxiety,he chose to alleviate this contradiction by summoning the imagination of the native.Shen Congwen's work involves a large number of his hometowns.This kind of involvement makes his works reflect the culture of the new immigrants and the national soul of the original culture.Therefore,this potential mixed culture in his works,It is the most unique place of his work.
