In the 1930s and 1940s,especially during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggress, most textile industrial bases in the southeastern coastal areas of China were successively framed.During this period, the development of the northwestern boom began.and the Gansu wool textile industry experienced a short period of rapid development under the influence of external factors. The natural geographical environment made the animal husbandry in Gansu Province more developed, and the rich wool and camel hair became the main raw material resources for the regional development of the wool textile industry.Since modern times,Gansu had become a major textile trade center in the northwest. In the wave of developing the northwest, the Chinese people had a certain understanding of the specific sources of funding, site selection, production technology, management, and personnel training required for the development of the woolen industry in the northwest. In a relatively short period of time,Gansu quickly introduced a large number of capital and technical talents, all of which laid a good foundation for the vigorous development of the wool textile industry. The wool textile industry in Gansu Province entered a climax stage after 1942 and declined rapidly after 1948.In just over a decade, most cities and counties in the province, centered on Lanzhou, had set up textile factories with more than 200 textile factories. In addition,a number of vocational and technical schools had been set up to train a large number of textile technical talents.During this period, the number of capital, the number of workers and equipment in the wool textile industry in Gansu Province were among the top in the province, which greatly promoted the local economic modernization. After the founding of the New China,Gansu became a wool textile industry. The center of gravity laid the foundation. In the more than 200 wool spinning factories established, this paper believes that in the exploration of the modern Gansu machine wool textile industry in the 1930s and 1940s,the Chinese people actively absorbed foreign business ideas, highlighting the production technology innovation, business strategy, product sales, talent development, system establishment, employee management and welfare. The most representative ones were the second system of the Ministry of Military Affairs, the Lanzhou Wool Factory of the Yongxing Company, and the Northwest Wool Textile Factory, from which the modern factory management model can be seen.Among them, the Northwest Wool Textile Factory was the most invested factory in this period, and all the production processes were machined.Due to the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan,Gansu Province was located in the rear of the war of resistance, and had the important task of supporting the war of resistance and supplying strategic materials. The Gansu wool textile industry had received attention from all walks of life, attracting a large number of external capital and technical talents. And because of the local industrial base and weak economy, the government and banks played a leading role in the establishment of the woolen factory. Therefore, while developing the wool textile industry,it was possible to simultaneously develop industries such as machinery and electric power related to the textile industry, and established a complete industrial base in the local area. But also because of too much dependence on external forces, many factories quickly declined after the end of the war.In the late 1940s,when it ushered in rapid development,it was also endangered by war and severe inflation. Therefore,it can be seen that at this time, although the development of Gansu wool textile industry was fast, the development time was short, and the results that can be obtained were very limited.
