For a man and a woman to marry,it is necessary that they should be married for the sake of harmony.Marriage is the most sacred institution,human beings have gone through countless hardships and baptism of the times,to reach the current marital status.In previous studies,many scholars often conflate the situation of the zhou dynasty's marriage in their writing,focusing on the spring and autumn period and the warring states period,ignoring the characteristics of marriage in the western zhou dynasty.In this paper,the marriage of the western zhou dynasty as the research object,mainly to this period of marriage to do a simple reorganization.This paper discusses the general situation of marriage in the western zhou period,and discusses some controversial issues.In addition to a brief introduction to the content of marriage culture in the introduction,this paper mainly explores the characteristics of marriage in western zhou dynasty in terms of form,factors affecting marriage conclusion,consolidation and divorcing their wives,and marriage culture.Firstly,it mainly focuses on the overall marriage form in the western zhou dynasty.The author questions the marriage as the mainstream in the western zhou dynasty.By investigating relevant historical documents and unearthed artifacts,it is concluded that the marriage form of the zhou people in the western zhou period is the original marriage and the co-existence of "six rites" as the main marriage form.Secondly,when primitive marriage coexisted with betrothal marriage,the combination of men and women was affected in many ways,some from individuals,some from society.Based on the analysis of relevant historical data,the author examines the controversial views on marriage time and age,and the practice of non-marriage with the same surname,the author thinks that the zhou marriageable range should be 15 to 20 years old women,men aged 20 to 30,in the western zhou dynasty wedding season air midautumn two paragraphs,transition to the spring to summer and autumn to winter transition is less,the zhou dynasty the mian factors to implement sharing never is not a healthy birth,but joint alien,maintain its own rule,some of marriage is bulit on the premise of politics.The thrid part basically tells about the marriage ceremony after getting married and give wife problem.Through the review of relevant literature,the author believes that the worship of uncle and aunt and the meeting in the temple in March are very important for the consolidation of marriage and the ceremony to establish the status of the wife in the family.The betrothal gift is only in the name of the ceremony,the two sides have to work well in the relationship after marriage.If the marriage broke down irretrievably,they could only "divorcing their wives".As for the issue of divorcing,they should not simply summarize it in terms of "seven production".The concept of "seven production"in the Western Zhou dynasty had not yet formed a rule on etiquette.Fourthly,discussed the marriage dowry and the cultural connotation in the jinwen.Through consulting historical documents,the author sorts through civilian,aristocratic complimentary dowry and found that these gifts are a reproduction worship.Information on civilian dowries is lacking,but the representative of the noble married woman Ying apparatus for sorting and found to have filial piety in-laws,wish long life,advocating the cultural connotation of birth and for her husband.It can be seen that marriage in the Western Zhou period did not mean business,dowry and dowry is because of the couple's wishes.
