Female aristocracy has a particularly important position in the patriarchal clan system during the Western Zhou Dynasty(1046BCE-771BCE),as well as,in the Spring and Autumn period(770BCE-403BCE).Working women contribute to the population and economy of their family and vassal state or the Zhou Dynasty.Political marriage related to the ethnic group,culture,geopolitics and regional integration in the Spring and Autumn period.The historical reflection on the Pre-Zhou era and the Western Zhou Dynasty,from the angles of female and marriage,can help us understand the construction of etiquette system in the Western Zhou Dynasty.The national operation of the Western Zhou Dynasty depends on the connections through marriages between the Ji clan and the Jiang clan.The ethnic integration and regional integration at Zhou Yuan rely on the unite by marriages.The group A and group B tombs of the Zhou Dynasty(1046BCE-221BCE)in the ruins of Lu state belong to different ethnic groups.Tomb M202 in the group A has characters come from the two ethnic groups,because the owner of tomb M202 was a daughter of the group B ethnic group and married into the group A ethnic group.The cemetery ruins at the north-west of Qu Fu town belong to the group A,while they have some different characters to the group A cemeteries at Yao Pu and Dou Ji Tai.The changes in the cemetery ruins at the north-west of Qu Fu town due to the owners'marital relations.Basing on the strong strength,in virtue of the exogamous system and with the help of the convenient transportation in the Spring and Autumn period,vassal state Qi achieved allied marriages to vassal state Wei,Xing and Lu etc.and exerted its political influence on these vassal states.The merger and expansion of vassal state Qi and Lu lay foundation to a wide range of consolidation in the Warring States period.The key characters of“the five hegemons”in the Spring and Autumn period are the vassal states and their control areas.The characters of Empire Qin and Han,such as,centralization,the system of prefectures and counties,the bureaucratic administration and decree system,have emerged in the reformations of vassal state Qi,Jin,Qin and Chu in the 7th century BCE.The concept of Hua Xia appeared at the final phase of the Shang Dynasty and there are distinctions on its signified ethnic groups and areas during the 11th century BCE to 5thcentury BCE.The ethnic integration and region growing of Hua Xia Ethnic Group lay a foundation to the Empire Qin and Han.
