Since the reform and opening up,under the globalization of the market economy,China's rural society has undergone tremendous changes.Marriages in rural society are no longer the traditional "parents' will,and matchmaker's words" approach for the mainstream,but freedom of marriage has been respected.Bride ceremony was originally a traditional Chinese marriage custom in the courtesy of expression.In the traditional engagement ceremony,the man's family will give the woman a "betrothal gifts" made up of two parts of the goods and money in the name of the engaged man,of which money is money,and the thing is the bride price.After receiving the bride price,the woman will also send some items to the man,which is called "return gift".The objects in the bride price are generally high priced but practical items,and gifts are usually made by women.But now because of various reasons alienation for the family,it has become the wealth of intergenerational transfer.The original value of only five thousand or six thousand yuan of betrothal gifts,has now skyrocketed to tens of thousands or even twenty tens of thousands of yuan.The woman's family asked for a huge bride price,making the rural man's bear the enormous economic pressure and mental stress,thus astronomical betrothal gifts become one of the folk culture phenomena.Based on the field investigation of a village in Hebei province,this study uses the literature method and the no-structure interview method to understand the marriage culture and wedding customs in the rural areas of Hebei Province,and the tolerance and opinion of the rural families in these areas.Understanding the relevant situation of rural areas in Hebei Province can enrich the existing research results,supplement the current research in the lack of Hebei region,at the same time provide reference for the relevant research.In the marriage custom change existing habits and customs,carry out advanced construction,advocate thrift wedding customs,are conducive to rural residents to form a correct view of marriage.It is helpful to improve the quality of life and happiness of the rural families by maing the correct guiding effect of the correct marriage customs and establishing the civilized customs.At the same time,in the long run,it is conducive to the improvement of economic level and stable development in rural areas.The study found that the high bride price in K village has brought serious negative effects to the villagers.The reason is that:the gender imbalance of population structure leads to the emergence of male marriage in the marriage market;the flow of people has produced a bounty price that deviates from the economic development of rural areas;the backwardness of traditional thought,the variation of the dowry custom and the influence of bad social atmosphere,etc.In order to solve the high bride price in the rural areas,we should strengthen the policy guidance,improve rural governance,change customs and habits,reject high bride price,and advocate a new custom.Modern society has experienced the wave of industrial reform for several times,after entering the industrialized society today,intensified to ask for a huge bride price behavior,reflects the decline of rural social and rural human nature.The respected interests of the market economy,so that the actors tend to "rational choice",rural residents and urban residents gradually converge between the traditional sense of the rural areas no longer exist.
