Study On The Concepts Of Population Occupation In The Huang Gang Area During The Qing Dynasty

The family has played an important role in our patriarchal society.Because occupation is the foundation of people's standing,the basic guarantee of their family support and the basic carrier of their ideal realization,the family attaches great importance to how and what kind of occupation their children choose.This is the concept of population occupation.In the Qing Dynasty,the culture and education in Huang gang area were developed,the clan culture was prevalent,and the number of well-preserved genealogy was numerous.Through reading and combing these genealogy information,we can conclude the occupational concept of the population in Huang gang area at that time.Then we can futher find out the relationship between the social environment and the formation of the occupational concept of the population by combining macro and micro research methods.Although the choice of occupation in Huang gang area in Qing Dynasty had some emphasis,it had been diversified,which also had certain influence on Huang gang area in different aspects.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the thesis is divided into three parts.The first part sorts out the occupation concept of the population in huanggang,hubei province in the qing dynasty,and summarizes the characteristics of the occupation concept of the population.Included:agriculture is the most important;pay attention to reading,cultivation of character;one skill can also make a living;menial occupations forbidden;choose your career according to your talents;it is better to be industrious than lazy;pick a career and stick to it;there were changes in the late qing dynasty.The characteristics of the occupation concept of the population in huanggang area in qing dynasty are mainly reflected in four aspects,that is,occupation has inheritance in the same family;people can go into business when their families are too poor to continue studying;practicality and ideality coexist,make a living first,and then save the will;there is a certain order in choosing a career.The second part discusses the causes and influences of the formation of the occupation concept of the population in huanggang area in the qing dynasty.First,it is pointed out that they are restricted by the natural environment,economic conditions and social culture.Secondly,it holds that the occupation concept of the population in huanggang area in the qing dynasty has an important influence on the improvement of the population quality,the composition of social economy and the humanistic environment.The third part makes a simple comparison between the occupational concept of the population in huanggang of hubei province and suzhou of jiangsu province in the qing dynasty,trying to find out the differences and similarities so as to better explain the status of the occupational concept of the population in huanggang area.There are six main similarities between the two places:teach the people to concentrate on their profession;encouraging people to become officials;respect for teachers prevails;recognize one art seek to be born;recognized clansmen choose their careers according to their talents;the same family occupation is hereditary.And there are three main differences between this two places:they hold different attitudes towards the religious profession of monasticism and Taoism;Suzhou area has some special career options;The different positions of business in this two places.
