A Study Of Chinese Ancient Bamboo Subject Painting

Bamboo,as modern plant for Poaceae,are rich in southern of China.it is popular with people as the beautiful and charming appearance and personality.Bamboo is endowed with high purity by the literati and becomes the object that the painters pin their emotions.Bamboo theme painting occupies an exclusive corner in ancient Chinese flower and bird paintings,forming a unique landscape..Firstly,in this paper,the historical development of bamboo theme painting is analyzed longitudinally;then the technique and artistic conception of Chinese ancient bamboo theme painting are analyzed horizontally.In the course of teasing the historical development of bamboo theme painting,the bamboo painting is divided into five historical periods,namely,the germination period of Pre-Tang,the developing period of the Tang Dynasty,the mature period of Five Dynasties,The heyday of the song dynasty and the prosperous period of Yuan Ming and Qing dynasties.This paper summarize the painting characteristics of bamboo painting in each historical period separately,and analyzes the famous works of bamboo painting and related bamboo painting theories briefly.As to the type of Chinese ancient bamboo painting,this essay mainly discusses the figure painting of bamboo theme in China ancient,bamboo theme painting,botanical drawings of bamboo theme,animal painting of bamboo theme and other topics,at the meantime reviews the time and Profiles of creating such paintings and analyzes the aesthetic implications of bamboo in these subjects.In the analysis of bamboo painting techniques,this paper mainly research the drawing skills about bamboo stems,leaves,and other aspects in ink and compositions.Finally,it discusses the artistic conception of bamboo subject painting which is reflected by the anthropomorphization of bamboo and the artistic conception of the poem.This paper combs the history of bamboo painting in ancient China,and exploresthe types,techniques and artistic conception of bamboo painting in ancient China,hoping to enlighten the modern people in the study of Chinese ancient bamboo theme paintings.
