The sky is one of the important parts in the expression of landscape painting.Since Dutch artists had set a precedent for landscape painting in the 17Lh century,predecessors got down to conduct substantial art research and creation on the sky.For a long time,the sky mainly exists as the background of landscape painting.By itself,the ever-changing scene of the sky,like the bright shinning sun,the dark clouds,the gathering rain and storm,the setting sun and so on,can always attract us and win our great admiration.When we marvel at the magnificence and incredible charm of the sky,we cannot help to lament the insignificance of human beings.This paper mainly focuses on the author' s painting creation,which takes the sky in Yunnan as the theme,and her artistic exploration and reflection on it.The creation report is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is about the individual aesthetic object,the sky.In this part,the author will discuss different meaning of the sky in western and eastern culture,and different expression of the sky that artists adopt in different times.The second chapter tries to analyze the expressing beauty of the sky.By appreciating some sky paintings,the author will describe the beauty of sky from three aspects,the beauty of color,form and artistic conception.This part aims at showing enlightenment and reference of her own sky painting by appreciating and drawing lessons from outstanding art works,as well as trying her own painting.The third chapter elaborates the creation process to series of sky paintings,including painting conception,painting composition and how the paintings were made specifically.The fourth chapter presents inspiration and insight on painting creation.The author will show the beauty of the sky,especially the beauty of artistic conception,by drawing series of sky paintings to express her perception for nature and sky.
