As a descendant of the emperor,he was exiled as a monk until his old age who had great achievements in poetry, calligraphy, painting and printing. And he was Pseudonym of Zhu Da,a famous painter of the Ming Dynasty. He was famous for ink paintings in the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty, especially for flower-andbird paintings.Although suffering from mental disease,he still created many masterpieces, which enjoyed great prestige in the painting stage for 300 years. This paper mainly analyzes the painting thoughts of Zhu Da,starting from four aspects: philosophical foundation, aesthetic basis, soul and main features. It uses examples, methods of image analysis, literature research, etc.,combined with the special experience of Zhu Da,influence of Confucianism and Taoism, absorption of folk art,and the inspiration of predecessors’ painting thoughts to analyze the causes of Zhu Da’s painting thoughts, expounding his painting thoughts and his influence on later generations of painting. The influence of the Southern Zen not on the text, coupled with the brutal rule of the Qing Dynasty against the people, the written records of the Zhu Da were mostly destroyed or lost. Also,he did not have a special painting theory handed down to study the painting thoughts,so it can only be explored from its existing works and scattered poems. However, his poems are difficult to understand, simple and magical, and flowers, birds and worms have grotesque genius, but they must deeply understand the spiritual temperament. It is not easy. The unconventional experience and the experience of escaping from meditation have made the paintings and works of Bada Shanren contain strong emotional color and great spiritual connotation. His birds and fish have turned their eyes and squats, his mountains and water, carved dead wood,The broken branches and leaves, the picture is full of desolate and unyielding, and he is unyielding, and he writes out all despair, and erupts from it.
