| The modern literary development has been added a significant stroke due to the "aesthetic-decadent" poetry and splendid publishing cause which both belong to Shao Xunmei,a representative writer in the aesthetic history of modern literature.Shao Xunmei’s insistence on aestheticism was imprinted in his lifetime,for the beauty of poetry is dazzling,the aesthetic of publication is exquisite,and the goodliness of prose connects the most ontological temperament of poets,which is the soul’s introspection and pursuit.Shao Xunmei’s prose creation has involved essays,memoirs,art of gossip,editorial essays and postal remarks.In these true thoughts-recording essays,the aestheticism of his prose has experienced the changing from purity to miscellanea,during which he adjusted his original direct writing way to the later deepening and transformation of the criticism and connotation on his aesthetic ideas,and then he himself come to the key point of the national contradiction.The constant variation,the coercion of the current situation and the unremitting individual pursuit have jointly composed a beauteous changing song,what remained is the relentless chasing of aestheticism in Shao Xunmei’s prose creation.Divided into five parts,this paper will study Shao Xunmei’s aesthetic pursuit in his prose creation.The introduction part makes a definition on aestheticism and points out the internal connotations and characteristics as well as its influence on the modern Chinese literature’s evolvement which did surmount the space-time boundaries.It also analyses the characteristics of Shao Xun’s aesthetic ideas,provides an introduction of the topic research and a clarification on the methods,value and innovation of the full-text research.The first chapter focuses on the generative context of Shao Xun’s aesthetic prose.Inspired by the modern civilization of Shanghai and the reconstruction of national culture,Shao Xunmei has also accepted the classical culture and western aestheticism accompanied by a combination of his poet dream and noble identity.This part will be spread around the listed three parts,aiming to illustrate the reason on the existence of aesthetic features in Shao xunmei’s prose creation.Chapter two will have his aesthetic creation idea discussed from the two aspects of “art priority” concept and the harmonious aestheticism in the writing pursuit,as well as helping grasp the unique aesthetic quality in Shao Xunmei’s prose creation from the theoretical perspective.Chapter three analyses the embodiment of aesthetic concepts in Shao Xunmei’s prose creation.Combining his creation in poems and novels and the publishing development,the goodliness-chasing transformation and the momentous literary and artistic mends of each period will be separately discussed around the three periods of "the Lion roar-the Golden House"," the Times-the Analects of Confucius" and "Freedom Tan".From the aspect of writing techniques,the artistic strategies of Shao Xunmei’s aesthetic prose will be analyzed in chapter four.There are four complementary parts forming the unique artistic charm of his pose creation: the aesthetic metaphor and poetic language,the biographical writing way,the conversation form with the scattered brushwork,and the free artistic style.Chapter five is an overall reflection on the aesthetic pursuit of shao xunmei’s prose creation.This part will expound the benefits on the development of contemporary pure literature,the benefits for which were originated from the aesthetic creation mode,probe into the current significance of the national "cultural team" construction recommended by Shao Xunmei,and illustrate the lack of individualized vanity and anguish as well as the lack of "antagonism" and "publicity" revealed by his aesthetic pursuit,meanwhile,the persistence and propaganda of his aesthetic pursuit in the historical situation will also be viewed at the height of aestheticism and the times. |
