A Study Of "Stories We Tell Define Who We Are" From The Perspective Of Film Folklore

Under the background of globalization,cultural soft power has become an important factor affecting the international influence of a country.In order to improve the soft power of Chinese culture and enhance China's international communication,General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed " Stories We Tell Define Who We Are",and repeatedly stressed the importance of Chinese traditional culture.In such a context,it is possible to study the strategy of Stories We Tell Define Who We Are from the perspective of film folklore,a frontier discipline.In addition to the introduction,the main content of the article is divided into four chapters.Chapter ?,"Folklore Mirror: The Emergence of Film Folklore" : Re-excavating the phenomenon of folklore in contemporary movies and the evolution of folklore phenomena.We find that the Ethnic Minority Films and traditional opera films,which grew up in the political discourse of the "seventeen years",began to have a distinct tendency of folklorization because of the "national characteristics" of their mother bodies,and then the "new folklore films" reached its peak in the eighties.And in the fifth and sixth generation movies,the folklore phenomenon also shows a change from "rural folklore" to "urban folklore".Different folklore events in different periods and movies tell "Chinese Stories" at different levels.Chapter ? "Aesthetic Value of Film Folklorization" : Film Folklorization makes the aesthetic level of film present a deepening process from image to image experience,meaning pursuit and spiritual transcendence;brings mysterious and romantic aesthetic features and natural aesthetic temperament to film;and can be regarded as an important symbol of Chinese film nationalization.Chapter ? "Film Folklore Mechanism of Stories We Tell Define Who We Are " :Using text analysis method,this paper expounds the creation and viewing psychology,story characters,story conflicts and story themes of contemporary movie stories with folklore tendency from four aspects: folklore consciousness,folklore environment,folklore entanglement and folklore prototype.Chapter ? "Film Folklore Cultural Symptoms and Development Strategies of Stories We Tell Define Who We Are " : Integrating Folklore into Film Creation hasbecome a popular trend in Chinese Film Creation,but there are different cultural symptoms in mechanized reproduction and desire production of Folklore.Based on this,this paper puts forward a simple strategy for Stories We Tell Define Who We Are in film folklore from two aspects of aesthetics and dissemination.
