The Image Of Guilin(Guangxi) In Chinese Literature Of Anti-Japanese War

During the war of resistance against Japan,Guilin(Guangxi)attracted a large number of intellectuals and literary and art workers to move here due to its enlightened political environment and relatively safe geographical environment,which provided relatively favorable growth conditions for the development of Chinese Anti-Japanese War literature and made the Anti-Japanese War literature present a prosperous scene here again.The prosperity of Anti-Japanese War literature in Guilin(Guangxi)is of great significance to the development of Chinese Anti-Japanese War literature in the rear area and even the whole Chinese Anti-Japanese War literature.This paper mainly selects some literary works created in Guilin(Guangxi)from October1938 to September 1944 for research.In particular,this paper chooses the representative works of Native writers and Brigade Guangxi scholar.Starting from the Chinese Anti-Japanese War literature works that depict the famous landscape image of Guilin,To investigate the prosperity of Guilin culture,the changes of people's life and the richness of literary life during the Anti-Japanese War.Explore the evolution of Guilin city image before and after the war.To interpret the Anti-Japanese War consciousness and will expressed by Guilin's Anti-Japanese War literature.To explore the interactive relationship between Guilin Anti-Japanese War literature and modern Chinese media,and to present the image of Guilin(Guangxi)in Chinese Anti-Japanese War literature from multiple angles and aspects.In the introduction of this paper,on the basis of a brief introduction and discrimination of the concepts of Chinese Anti-Japanese War literature and Guilin Anti-Japanese War literature,the author makes a preliminary review of the contemporary research of Guilin Anti-Japanese War literature.It summarizes and reviews the research methods and ideas of predecessors in the research of Guilin Anti-Japanese War literature.It not only makes it clear that the study of Chinese Anti-Japanese War literature needs to be better discussed based on different urban contexts,but also reaffirms the important position and research significance of GuilinAnti-Japanese War literature in the history of Chinese Anti-Japanese War literature and Chinese modern literature.The first chapter takes Guilin landscape literature as the breakthrough point.But unlike Guilin in peacetime,the landscape of Guilin in the war was a different picture for writers.From the four aspects of Guilin's beauty,prosperity,melancholy and suffering,this chapter analyzes the natural and cultural landscape of Guilin and its times in the eyes of literati.Chapter two focuses on the daily life of the people and the literary life of the literati to study the wartime image of Guilin.Through the analysis of the changes of Guilin People's Daily life in the aspects of clothing,food,housing,transportation,education and technology,etc.to show the real social conditions in Guilin during the war.At the same time,literary creation and literary activities,with their particularly active performance in Guilin's Anti-Japanese War culture,have become an important part of Guilin's Anti-Japanese War literature.Therefore,this chapter also introduces and analyzes the forms and characteristics of the Anti-Japanese War literature of Guilin creation and literary activities.Chapter three mainly interprets the writing of the Anti-Japanese War literature of Guilin on the Anti-Japanese War consciousness and will.This chapter focuses on the analysis of the works of Guangxi writers and those of Guangxi writers who moved to Guangxi.Through the case study of Guangxi native writers,to show the rich cultural heritage of Guilin.From the poem creation to the outstanding poet Qin Si and the talented poet Yan Jieren,it not only reflects the flourishing scene of local literature,but also shows the hatred of the invaders and the determination of the resistance to the end.On the other hand,the description of "Guangxi spirit" by the writers who traveled to Guangxi in wartime strengthens and demonstrates the important position and image of Guilin in the Anti-Japanese War from another aspect.From 1938 to 1944,the Anti-Japanese War literature of Guilin flourished mainly due to the formation of creative Chinese Anti-Japanese War literature field.Therefore,in the last chapter of this paper,the relationship between the production mechanism of newspapers and their supplements,literary periodicals,publishing houses and bookstores and the generation and development of the Anti-Japanese War literature of Guilin was investigated in detail.This paper reveals the particularity and complexity of the formation of Guilin's Anti-Japanese War literature,and probes into the status of the Anti-Japanese War literature of Guilinin the history of Anti-Japanese War and the history of modern literature.Newspapers with the supplements,literary periodicals,publishing houses and bookstores are the main production andcommunication carriers of Guilin's Anti-Japanese War literature,exerting their characteristics and advantages as modern media.The construction of a wartime literary landscape in full bloom shows the original appearance of the Anti-Japanese War literature of Guilin from production to dissemination.On the one hand,it promotes Guangxi's local literary creation,on the other hand,it cultivates a large number of new forces in the modern literary world,and lays a foundation for Guilin to be shaped into a new media image.In a word,during the Anti-Japanese War,Guilin became an important literary front in China due to its special and superior geographical conditions,enlightened political environment and free cultural space.It not only builds a healthy and vigorous stage for Chinese Anti-Japanese War literature,but also provides a fertile soil for the diversified development of Anti-Japanese War literature,and makes a historical contribution to the formation of a complete and profound image of Guilin(Guangxi).
