The Literature of Chinese Anti-Japanese War involves several kinds of literarystyles, possesses rich historical value, always be thought much by literary world as animportant area, and so many related thesises studied this area from different angles. Asfor the image of Japanese, there are a lot of studies about the image of invaders, but lackin the image of captives. This paper will use the theory of Imagologie to discuss theimage of Japanese captives in the Literature of Chinese Anti-Japanese War from sevenparts.The first part exordium is to put forward the shortages in existing studies, and thenmake sure the value of this paper, surmise the research methods and contents.The second part is about the related concepts of Imagologie. Firstly, define the"image" in comparative literature, make clear that the key of contemporary Imagologiestudy is the interactivity of "others" and "selfs". Besides, briefly describe the concept of"Social collective imagination", just because of the different image between averageJapanese and Japanese captives in literatures, the particularity of the image of captivesis developed, which is the meaning of this study.The third part is mainly to define the historical context, in which the image ofcaptives appeared during the period of Anti-Japanese War.The fourth part discusses about "others", which is the image of captives in theLiterature of Chinese Anti-Japanese War, in order to show up the dual features ofJapanese captives under Chinese writers.The fifth part is to study "selfs", that involve writes and readers who create theimage of Japanese captives, then search out the causes of the particularity about theimage of captives.The sixth part is to explore the factors of policy and culture, which are underlyingcauses of the image of captives' production. Through deeply discussion about Japanesepolicy in the war and Japanese nationalism, sum up the reasons which lead to Japanese captives' dual features.The last part is the conclusion of this paper.
