The Application Of MYO Controller In Interactive Electronic Music Wind Singing Cloud Listening

With the high integration of music and technology,the performance forms of Electronic Music show a diversified development trend,and Interactive Electronic Music emerges at the historic moment.In order to enrich the performance approach of Interactive Electronic Music,composers began to explore the application of diverse data drivers in Interactive Electronic Music.Various data drivers have become indispensable technical carriers and compositional tools for composers to explore Interactive Electronic Music.The MYO controller is a wearable device for action capture and data control.Wind Singing Cloud Listening is an Interactive Electronic Music work written by the author for MYO controller and Erhu.This paper takes the composition of original Interactive Electronic Music Wind Singing Cloud Listening as an example to focus on exploring how to use MYO controller for interactive music composing and live performance.Through the design and application of MYO controller in Interactive Electronic Music Wind Singing Cloud Listening,this paper explores the switching effects of five basic gestures of MYO controller,such as time control,filtering,tone control,parameters of directional data control effectors,and effects of prefabricated audio control by acceleration.By controlling the dotted,linear and string materials of Erhu with these control methods,the timbre of Erhu can be expanded to show a variety of shapes and forms of "wind" and "cloud" like the shadow.The original work Wind Singing Cloud Listening is the first attempt to combine the MYO controller with a Chinese national musical instrument,Erhu,which provides more creativity for the composition of Interactive Electronic Music.At the same time,taking Erhu as a case study and integrating the composition of Interactive Electronic Music,it provides infinite possibilities for the innovation and creative development of traditional music.
