The Creation And Application Of Pipa Timbre In The Electronic Music Work "Wind And Rain"

In modern times,great changes have taken place in the expression forms and production methods of music,especially in the thinking of electronic music production and the extensive application of relevant technologies,which have provided more possibilities for the sound expression of Chinese folk music.On the one hand,the use of electronic music can create sound effects that traditional acoustic instruments cannot achieve.It broadens the possibility and width of sound.On the other hand,the combination of traditional Chinese folk instruments and electronic music is another form of sound expression.Therefore,I want to explore from a new perspective and use the timbre of the traditional Chinese musical instrument pipa to generate and expand the pitch and range that the traditional musical instrument has never had,or find a brand-new sound,experimental sound,data and expansion methods.This paper will elaborate on this.It is hoped that the electronic music can be integrated with the timbre of pipa to produce a new auditory effect,and the application of the acoustic features of pipa in electronic music can be used to explore the combination of national instrumental music and electronic music.This phenomenon has become a common problem in domestic and foreign creations that sample a certain instrument or a human voice,and then expand the breadth and width of the sound through the technique of electronic musicization,so that its performance scope is even more expanded.Through reviewing the works related to the excellent competitions held in recent years and combining with my own practice,I want to further explore this form of art practice.
