A Study Of Discourse In The "Struggle Text" Of Land Reform In Qinxian County(1946-1948)

The land reform movement launched by the Communist Party of China(CPC)during the War of Liberation can be said to be the most profound social and political innovation movement in modern China.Qinxian County of Shanxi Province has become a model of land reform movement in Taiyue Revolutionary Base Area because of its geographical position of "controlling Jinyang in the north and Luze in the south"."Discourse analysis" is a research method that emerged in the field of Western linguistics in the 1970 s.It was not long before this research method was applied to the field of history.It can be said that discourse is an external expression of people's thoughts.Through the unique window of "discourse",the psychological activities of people of all strata in Qinxian's land reform can be visualized.This paper is based on the "struggle text" of the land reform movement,Qinxian Group Transport Reporting,which is collected as the main material.It is verified by archives and newspapers,and presents historical details as far as possible through the "discourse" of Peasants during the land reform period.It fully shows the movement process of land reform in Qinxian County and the reshaping of traditional countryside by the discourse of land reform.The main body of this paper is divided into four parts:The first part: Briefly introduces the social situation before the land reform in Qinxian County.It mainly includes the geographical overview and historical evolution of Qinxian County,the social customs and discourse expression in the traditional times of Qinxian County,and the land occupation situation before the land reform in Qinxian County.The second part :mainly elaborates the construction of the discourse of the land reform of the CPC and the frustration of the implementation of the land reform in Qinxian County from the perspective of "discourse".CPC changed its literary style through the Yan'an Rectification Movement and the Speech at the Yan'an Literature and Art Symposium.With the emergence of revolutionary literature,the "class discourse" of theCPC,such as "complaining about bitterness" and "turning over",began to spread to the rural society,and the discourse of land reform began to be constructed.The implementation of land reform in Qinxian County is not achieved overnight.There have been many setbacks during this period.The setbacks of land reform in Qinxian County can be divided into three stages by describing the text of "discourse" of farmers' land reform.The third part: mainly discusses the Qinxian Land Reform Movement from the perspective of discourse.Through the analysis and discussion of "complaining","turning over","distributing fruits" and "activists",we can clearly see the establishment process of "class consciousness" and "class discourse" of the people.The fourth part: the text with the most folk discourse features in the land reform period,represented by folk songs,to explore the discourse characteristics in the land reform period.Folk song is an important historical text recording folk discourse,which contains rich historical connotations.By comparing the contents of Qinxian folk song in different periods,we can see the unique connotations of folk song in the land reform period.In a word,this paper takes Qinxian County as a case and takes discourse as a perspective to reproduce the unique scene of the land reform movement in Qinxian County.The Communist Party of China embeds "class discourse" into the rural society through the land reform movement.Since then,"class discourse" has become the guide and weapon of action for the peasant masses.They use "class discourse" to explain their own actions legally,and at the same time provide legitimacy for the management of the rural society by the Communist Party.As a result,the power of the Communist Party of China penetrated deeply into the rural interior,changed the grass-roots institutions of rural society,and strengthened the stability of social structure.
