Kazuo Ishiguro,winner of the 2017 Nobel Prize for literature,is one of the most famous Japanese-born British novelists in contemporary English literature,Who attaches great importance to thinking about the lessons of war.Five cf the seven published novels so far are based on war.Kazuo Ishiguro advocates writing intermational novels,However,his international creative practice is gradually deepened.The academic research on this aspect mainly focuses on the local characteristics of the co-existence of dual culture behind the characters in the novel,and rarely analyzes the dynamic development characteristics.Novels by Kazuo Ishiguro are mainly composed of non-linear memories of self-deceptive nature,but there are few papers devoted to the study of character images.Therefore,reading through the novels to analyze the life experience of the protagonist from the five works in the background of the war,can sort out the sequence of event development,and judge the causal relationship of the plot,and summarize the characteristics of the characters from different periods,then explores the development of the writer's international creative thinking behind the different characteristics of the characters in different periods,to provide a new perspective for the study of Kazuo Ishiguro in domestic academic circles.The introduction to this article introduces the identity and creative characteristics of Ishiguro Kazuo.The main body is divided into three chapters:The first chapter analyzes the protagonist Etsuko,Ono,Stevens and their characteristics of regret,mistake and obsession.The second chapter analyses Banks in "When We Were Orphan" and Axl and Vestan in "The Buried Giant" and their character of accepting growth,courage and stick to justice.The third chapter explores the reasons for the change by comparing the differences between the characters in the early and late periods.The identity of the early characters was obviously regional.They lived in Japan or the United Kingdom during World War ?.They are all affected by major national events in their lives,but stay out of them,wallowing in the memory of the past,dare not face the reality,escape responsibility through self-deception to get rid of the shadow of the past,otherwise they cannot find their place in the real life.Late identity are more intermational,they dare to pursue the truth of the matter,having the courage to face reality and no longer addicted to the memory of self-deception,involved in the process of revealing the truth,and focus on ignored by early works hero of interpersonal relationship,they are more positive state of mind and life choices.Late before the main characters in the novel from regional to intermational,social responsibility.This is the result of the author's repositioning of his own identity,from thinking about the experience of others to the real space of his own experience,his understanding of war and history from the pursuit of individual life value to the common fate of mankind.
