Study Of The Tone Of Xintang Dialect In Hunan Province

Chinese is a tonal language,and tone research has always been an important part of phonetic research.In recent years,the development of experimental phonetics makes Chinese dialects more diversified,and the description of tone is more intuitive and reliable.By selecting the appropriate speaker and using the relevant experimental instruments,this paper describes the pitch,range and duration of the five tones of Xintang(??)dialect in Taolin Temple Town,Miluo,Hunan Province,and obtains the tone type and tuning value of the single tone of Xintang dialect in Hunan Province.The tone pattern such as tone domain,time length,the falsetto of the two types of tone in Xintang dialect is discussed,and the existence of tone height domain in Xintang dialect is determined.On the basis of single word,by studying the combination mode and tone variation law of Tone Sandhi in Xintang dialect,it is clear that Xintang dialect has no general tone change,only soft tone change,the soft tone change can be divided into two categories:Yangping(??)low tone change and other types of high tone change,and total of 13kinds of tones were changed.The tone variation of the three-character group is carried out on the basis of the tone variation of the two-character group.According to the structure of the word group,the three-character group can be divided into the three-character group of"the first one and the latter",the three-character group of"the first two and the latter"and the parallel three-character group,different structures follow different tone changing modes,and there are 37kinds of tones.Through the description of the pattern of monosyllabic tone in Xintang dialect,Hunan Province,this paper probes into the mode of Tone Sandhi between two character groups and three character groups.In this paper,the overall appearance of the tone of Xintang dialect is basically described in an all-round way.
