Starting with Michelangelo's acceptance of humanism at Plato College,Western sculpture Art opens the prelude of “people-oriented”in the Renaissance. His work is based on religion and war, serving the people and the rulers, while vividly shaping a great sculpture of thought and human love in character images and facial expressions. After that,Rodin pushed humanism to a new climax. His “meditation”,“kiss”can always grasp the moment of inspiration or behavior image, show the beauty of the World and love. And his“Hand” series,is the interpretation of his artistic ideas. He think it's much better to make local imagination than to make it complete. And then sculptor Giacometti uses match-like characters to symbolize people to reveal the evils of war in the European battleground that was baptized World War Ii.In the later shaping, this form is used to create many ghostly characters on the new European land, and this was warmly praised by the existentialist philosopher Sartre. It is in this series of studies on the history of Western sculpture art that I have a keen interest in the existentialism of humanist thought and the way Rodin behaves. And I want to use this to express my views on the mentality and behavior of everyone in the current social life to switch between different roles in different identities. In the specific creation I use pottery cans to represent people,by making size styling textures of different jars from a broad sense to represent everyone. The outstretched hand in a pottery jar implies the act of switching or pulling away from the present identity. The overall creation takes the rough, the realistic sculpture style, uses the pottery mud texture to increase the whole work's particle sense.Struggling with an out-of-the-horizon arm to shock the viewer's vision to ask each audience questions.Who am I? Where do I come from? Where am I going? How do I get there?...
