Vocabulary is the foundation of language.The lack of vocabulary will make it difficult for people to communicate and express their thoughts.Traditional vocabulary teaching in primary school has many limitations,especially in mobilizing students' enthusiasm and improving students' comprehensive ability to use vocabulary.With the development of English vocabulary teaching theory and multi-modal theory,the integration of multi-modal theory and English subject provides new ideas and solutions for the above problems.With the continuous development of modern teaching technology,multimedia technology has been deeply integrated into English vocabulary teaching and become an important teaching method in today's English teaching.It integrates text,picture,sound,image and animation,and is the secular expression carrier of multimodal theory.Based on modal theory,this paper by means of multimedia technology,the aim of multimodal theory in elementary school English vocabulary teaching,and it can be used to explore the teaching model can solve the problems existing in the primary school English vocabulary teaching,and multimodal vocabulary teaching' model for elementary English vocabulary what effect the comprehensive ability training;What are the changes in students'learning attitudes after applying the multi-modal vocabulary teaching model.How to apply the model of multimodal vocabulary teaching in primary school English vocabulary teaching is studied in depth.This research lasted for three months,two classes of grade 4 in XiXia district S primary school were selected as research objects,and they were respectively set as experimental class and control class.In the experiment,the research process was recorded in detail through pre-test,post-test,questionnaire,interview and other methods,and the research results were tested.Finally,SPSS 22,0 software was used for data analysis.The test showed that the post-test score of the experimental class was higher than that of the control class.Through the data analysis of questionnaire and interview,it is found that the effect of multi-modal vocabulary teaching mode in primary school English vocabulary teaching is obviously better than that of traditional vocabulary teaching mode,and it also plays a positive role in stimulating students' interest in vocabulary learning.In the end,the article lists the teaching inspiration.
