A Project Report On C-E Translation Of The Excerpt Of Tourist Commentaries For Mountain Maoshan,Jurong

This project report is based on the project of the translation for Mountain Maoshan,Jurong.This project has not only covered the places of interests in Mountain Maoshan,but also the abundant Taoism cultural information which is of great significance for the output of Taoism culture for our country.Consequently,the project is practicable enough.On the basis of this translation practice,this report aims to discuss the difficulties appearing in this translation process from three perspectives,namely,lexicon,syntax,and discourse under the guidance of the functional equivalence,besides,the corresponding solutions to them are also offered so as to be the reference for the future tourism translation.First of all,in terms of vocabulary,in view of the relevant culture-loaded words appearing in the text,the author proposed such methods as omission,transliteration as well as liberal translation so as to achieve the functional equivalence.Secondly,in terms of difficulties in sentence aspect,the author adopted the subordinate clauses,imperative sentence and so on.Lastly,as for the context of discourse,the author tried to make the article more readable based on the cohesive device and the semantic coherence between the contents so that the reader can achieve the functional equivalence.
