Emotional embodiment is one of the main research contents of embodied cognition.Through the collation and induction of previous studies,we found there was evidence of consistency between emotional embodiment and implicit sequence learning consciousness in theory,overlapping brain regions and certain experiments.But embodied consciousness theory hasn't been confirmed in the field of implicit sequence learning consciousness.In addition,the three types of implicit sequence learning consciousness theory(global workspace theory,representation quality theory and extraneous stimulus theory)ignore the source of consciousness—body.Therefore,it is necessary to lead into embodied consciousness theory that regards the body as the source of consciousness.On the basis of this,this study explored the effects of three type emotional embodied manipulations(natural,positive/negative off-line and positive/negative on-line emotional embodied manipulations)on implicit sequence learning and its consciousness.The main results of this study were as followed:1.On the one hand,negative on-line emotional embodied manipulation was designed to hold the pen with lips and ensure that teeth are not in contact with pen.This kind of manipulation is more about to inhibit facial expressions.It will cause the subject to be in a state of restraining emotional embodiment and possessing a lower level of consciousness.On the other hand,natural,positive/negative off-line and positive on-line emotional embodied manipulations will not inhibit facial expressions.They will cause the subject to be in a state of emotional embodiment and possessing a higher level of consciousness.This explained the key role of body in implicit sequence learning consciousness,and demonstrated the importance and necessity of leading the embodied consciousness theory into the field of implicit sequence learning.2.Different emotional embodied manipulations resulted in different levels of implicit sequence learning.For off-line emotional embodied manipulations,both positive and negative levels could promote implicit sequence learning and raise consciousness.And the improvement of positive level was even greater.For on-line emotional embodied manipulations,the result of positive level had no difference with baseline level;the result of negative level was worse than baseline.The influence followed the following sequence:positive off-line>negative off-line>baseline=positive on-line>negative on-line.From the perspective of valence,the promotion of positive level was better than negative level.3.Compared to pure implicit sequence learning,the brain mechanism of emotional embodied manipulations influencing implicit sequence learning had some changes and retained some basic characteristics.(1)From the perspective of ERP components,the inherent N2,P3,and LPC had appeared,,but only significant LPC effect was found.It showed that emotional embodied manipulations play a role in the late stage of implicit sequence learning.(2)From the perspective of brain activation mode,pure implicit sequence learning had a tendency to spread from occipital lobe to frontal lobe.After the intervention of emotional embodied manipulations,this diffusion was accelerated,which made the activated brain regions concentrating on frontal lobe at the beginning of learning.It showed that emotional embodied manipulations could promote the transformation of explicit knowledge.(3)Regardless of the type of emotional embodied manipulation,the more learning sessions,the higher activated level of the corresponding brain regions.This finding was consistent with representation quality theory.
