With the development of science and technology,new media are introduced to the junior high school English teaching which faces a series of new requirements and challenges.Flipped classroom as a modern teaching model emerges at the right moment,which flips “teaching and learning” and provides a new idea and inspiration for further education reform.It is one of the objectives for flipped classroom to focus more on the stimulation of students’ learning interests and cultivation of autonomous learning ability as well as collaborative study ability.It directs the future developing of English teaching.This research attempts to constitute a new English teaching model based on the flipped classroom by putting it into teaching practice in junior high schools.Meanwhile,the research also intends to explore the junior high school English teaching design and provide new concept for improving English teaching efficiency and enhancing students’ autonomous learning ability as well as collaborative study ability.The thesis is generally divided into the following three parts:1.The theoretical research.By reading numerous related literatures at home and broad,concluding the current research situation of the flipped classroom teaching and summing up the connotation,implement factors and related theoretical basis.2.The practical teaching design and practice.Based on the flipped classroom theories,putting forward a suitable flipped classroom model for middle school English teaching and paying attention to the teaching design.Taking a middle school class of grade 7 in Jiujiang city as the research subject to apply the teaching practice.Adopting the method of classroom observation,questionnaire survey and interview,the study discusses the teaching efficiency of flipped classroom.3.The summary.Through the flipped classroom teaching experience in the three stages of pre-class study on self-leaning,in-class study on interaction and post-class study on evaluation,collecting and analyzing questionnaire data by the statistical software,SPSS.the results of this study are as follows: the flipped classroom teaching model can apply to the middle school English teaching,help to enhance the students’ English academic achievement and promote the ability of autonomous learning and collaborative study.The study also discovers some problems such as the teachers’ shortage of information technology application ability and students’ insufficient pre-class study time.Finally,it points out some limitation in the thesis and makes an expectation for further study.
