With the progress of internet economy,an increasing number of people are enjoying the huge benefits brought by sharing economy.In particular,shared transportation brings great convenience to people.However,the translation of shared transportation is very rare.To better publicize,and also let foreigners understand this service in China better,the author has selected the second chapter—“shared transportation” in Sharing Economy to translate under the guidance of the theory of Eco-translatology.In the translation process,translation Eco-environment and reading habits of target readers should be considered.Besides,the appropriate target texts should be chosen according to the adaptation and selection of Eco-translatology through the transformation of linguistic,cultural and communicative dimensions,such as narrowing cultural differences by selecting appropriate words in consideration of the different characteristics of source language and target language.This report included the whole process of the translation practice guided by the theory.Firstly,it introduced background of the task and the report,objective and significance of the report.Secondly,it included introduction to the book,overview of the excerpted chapter and description of translation process.Thirdly,it included the detailed introduction of the theory and case study.Finally,this report summarized the major findings in this translation practice,and pointed out the shortcomings of the research and some improvements.In the process of translation practice guided by the theory,the translator makes some conclusions.Firstly,the translator needs to consider the translation Eco-environment and target readers in the process of translation.Shared transportation translated by the author has some characteristics of transportation industry and internet economy.Therefore,the translator needs to consider the target readers and transforms from linguistic,cultural,and communicative dimensions in order to adapt to the reading habit of readers.Secondly,to better convey the source language,the translator needs to look up some related materials to check some proper nouns,terminologies,abbreviations of internet economy.If necessary,the translator needs to add some notes to explain.Thirdly,when translating from Chinese to English,the translator needs to explain the implied culture among Chinese language expressions and narrows the cultural differences as far as possible,which makes targetreaders fully understand the source language.Fourthly,to obtain the communicative aim,the translator in the process of translation needs to consider its aims in context and makes an appropriate adaptation and selection,which makes it cater to readers' reading habit.Through translating the shared transportation,the translator under the guidance of Eco-translatology adopts the adaptation and selection of linguistic,cultural,as well as communicative dimensions to analyze the text from lexical and syntactic level.This theory has great guidance on translating the text of shared transportation.In addition,the translation of shared transportation text contributes to publicizing Chinese shared transportation.
