Impressionism is an epoch-making painting school in the history of Western painting.It rose and developed gradually from France in the 1970 s and 1980 s.Impressionist painting changed the traditional way of painting in concept,advocated sketching in nature and recording the real changes of light and shadow in the objective world.This observation method had a great impact on the European painting world at that time.Impressionist painters do not follow the rules in their paintings.They pay more attention to capturing the fleeting effects of light and shadow in the sunshine by sketching.They expand their horizons with brand-new concepts and constantly integrate humanistic feelings in pursuit of the overall performance of paintings,which has a profound impact on the later modern paintings.It can be said that impressionist painting became one of the most valuable and influential painting schools at that time.A number of Impressionist color painters emerged and created many well-known classical works.This paper mainly studies the relevant Impressionist literature,literature review and case analysis,as well as classical works of painting,and adopts the method of research and summary to analyze and study the effect of light,shadow and color of Impressionism.In this paper,the use and allocation of color in painting,the unique brush strokes,painting methods and styles of impressionist painting are studied and summarized,and the individuality and style of Impressionist landscape sketch are expounded.The innovation of this paper lies in the study of the expression of light and shadow color in Impressionist paintings.At the same time,the origin of impressionism,the combination and change of color under light and shadow are deeply analyzed,and applied to the practice of graduation creation.
