Variation Study On Qitai Dialect

Qitai County is one of the representative points of Chinese dialects in Xinjiang.Qitai dialect belongs to the Northern Xinjiang of Lan-yin Mandarin.This paper takes Qitai dialect as the research object,uses traditional dialectology and sociolinguistics to combine the research methods,collects corpus through literature research,field survey and questionnaire survey,and analyzes the data with softwares.The systematic variation of the phoneme,lexis and grammar of Qitai dialects reveals the characteristics of the variation,and further examines the internal factors and major social factors that constrain the variation of dialects.This paper records the variation of Qitai dialect in terms of vowel,consonant,tone,lexis and grammar,provides theoretical explanation for the complexity and exception of its mutation,also for further understanding the nature and characteristics of the genetic message provides some new based on facts,provide more material for Chinese dialect variation study.This paper consists of six sections.The first section introduces the purpose,significance and method of this paper.It introduces the geographical situation and historical development of Qitai County,the research status of Qitai dialect and the research on dialect variation.It can be divided into two parts.One is the field investigation of Qitai dialect,which describes the phonetic phonology and characteristics of Qitai dialect.The second is the variation study of Qitai dialect.Firstly,by comparing the phonetic characteristics of the three generations of old,middle and young,the paper summarizes and analyzes the variables of initials,finals and tones,and makes case analysis.Secondly,based on the field investigation,a certain amount is selected.The variables are social surveys that describe the distribution of use in terms of gender,age,education,occupation,etc.,and analyze the mechanisms of variation.In the second section,it mainly examines the variation of the initials,finals and tones of the Qitai dialect.The initials,finals and tonal variables are listed from the perspective of age factors.The types of variables are summarized and internal variation factors are analyzed.Through the investigation,we found that the occurrence of these variables belonged to individual adjustments within the system and did not have a systemic impact.In the third section,the vocabulary variation part of Qitai dialect mainly investigates the variation of nouns,verbs and adjectives in Qitai,and uses SPSS21.0 to quantify the age,gender,education level and occupation of the scale generated by the variable data.In the fourth section,it mainly conducts case investigations of “sub-suffixes” and conjunctions,and uses the generated scales to analyze the correlation of social factors.Through analysis,we believe that vocabulary variation is obvious,grammatical variation is rare,and social factors such as age,education level,and occupation have a greater impact on variation.In the fifth section,it combined with the previous data,explains the causes of the phonematic,lexical and grammatical variations of Qitai dialect from three aspects: language condition,social characteristics and social motivation.In the conclusion section of the sixth section,the paper reviews the full text and puts forward the shortcomings of this paper.
