For a long time,the issue of life was central topic for literary research and object of literary works.This paper has taken poems of Cao Cao and his sons as object of studying,supplemented by literature and poems to focus on core parts on life view and its causes.After entering the slave society,the consciousness of"natural death"for human beings has gradually formed.However,due to the difference of individual life,Cao Cao and his sons have presented various characteristics in life cognition and choice.This was just the focus of this topic.Based on this point,the structure of this paper has been constructed as follows:Introduction part:This paper has focused on core topic of"outlook on life"which was composed of ontology and value concept.At the same time,it has reviewed the research status of outlook on life on Mr.Cao and his sons and explained the research ideas and methods of this paper.Since the 20th century,the research on life theme of Cao Cao and his sons carried out by the predecessors has become academic basis of this study.Meanwhile,the gap in this study has also left a blank for this research.First chapter:Life ontology for Cao Cao and his sons.In this chapter,the writer has examined the ontological outlook poetry and literary creation for Cao Cao and his sons.It was believed that they have created a common emotional tone,that was,affirming the inevitability for death of human beings.But in the treatment of detailed concepts,there were much difference.Cao Cao hesitated and swayed between social personality and ego;Cao Pi was firm,he has abandoned immortals and faced directly to real world;Cao Zhi was open-minded and frank to fate,but he had some helplessness in his life.Meanwhile,their attention to life has extended to the space after death and the rules®ulations on burial and sacrifice were the embodiment of their view of death.Chapter two:Life value concept for Cao Cao and his sons.This chapter has discussed profound constitution for value concept of Cao Cao and his sons and it was believed that diversified value concept choice was surging under main pattern of struggling.In this concept,as the three immortalities,Cao Pi and Cao Zhi have paid attention to“promise”concept;the former has treated it equal with merit and pursued actively;The latter has treated it as alignment to remedy the regret of failure.Moreover,in value choice between“spirit”and“secular success”,there were different characteristics for these three persons.Cao Cao was pursuing spirit achievements and there were some continence;Cao Pi has focused more on secular success but had much anxiety in heart;And Cao Zhi has chosen immortals from initial denial to final admiration.Diversified life value has balanced anxiety of unsuccessful career and limited life.Chapter three:Reasons for life concept of Cao Cao and his sons.Firstly,this chapter has retrospect the common life space for Cao Cao and his sons and it was believed that the society turbulence during end of Han Dynasty has promoted pursuit of poets to success and the group care has decided success concept construction for Cao Cao and his sons.Secondly,it has inspected change of ideological trend of the times.It was believed that the increasingly active Taoist thought provided hotbet for the poet to seek immortality.Thirdly,it has started from life experience of poets and focused on regal power struggle during 22~ndd year during Jian'an Dynasty.It was thought that this incident had influenced fulfillment of life concept for Cao Pi and Cao Zhi directly.Finally,this article has gone back to nature of life and paid attention to problem of limited lifelong.It was believed that different viewpoints have expedited diversified value selection and they have interacted each other.
