Borges' s literary creation has been hailed as a stylistic marvel.Gathering the wings of dream and imagination, his fiction releases the heavy reality of violence and death into space. In his works,it is rare to see the reproduction of reality.Borges substitutes the impression of reality into the dreams, which is processed and then created by the moment feeling of waking up.The dreams are all metaphors of reality. The three nightmares of labyrinth, mirror and writing, which are intertwined with Borges, are artistically integrated into the literary creations, supporting the main atmosphere of Borges' s fictional world.Labyrinth nightmare represents the confusion of time caused by the chaotic reality.Inspired by Theseus' labyrinth,Borges compared the image of individuals in the time labyrinth with Minos and saw a lonely and isolated illusion of failure. Here, the metaphor is the plight of human loneliness caused by the muddledness of reality. The mirror reflects different egos under the complex reality and creates the burden of consciousness, thus making individual generate fear and aversion. Here, the metaphor is the chaotic state of the ego in reality. The predicament of writing comes from the revival of symbols.Writers lose the initiative of writing and become tools of symbols. The metaphor here is the situation in which language and words lose their authenticity in modern society. These three metaphors are Borges' s introversive thinking from individuals to human beings.Through the nightmare creation,Borges reflects the reality that human beings should pay attention to.Through the interaction between fiction and reality,as well as fantasy and reason,Borges opened the door of philosophical thinking between literature and universal life. His writing is never about the individual, but from the micro to the macro, focusing on the whole of humanity and the universe.
