Theoretical Research And Creation Practice Of "Linear Beauty" In Meticulous Painting

Line is the most concise and abstract expression of people’s image.In real life,the "line" does not exist.The "line" we know is the boundary between the object and the space.It starts from the tangent point of the boundary and extends to the visible edge of the object.,thus forming the "line" seen in the picture,making the object that the artist wants to express jumps on paper.Therefore,the "line" is the basic carrier of the artistic creators’ thoughts,emotions and subjective thinking performance;and the "line" as its art form has its unique formal law and aesthetic connotation.The "line" itself is a basic element of modeling,and the combination of lines is a collection of multiple arrangements,which is the basis of the "linear beauty" study.In the hands of different artists and different artists,it has an ever-changing richness,which is the focus of this research.The different cultural contexts of Eastern and Western cultures are different and interesting for linear expression.This can be reflected in the multifaceted appearance of modern and contemporary meticulous paintings,for example: drawing on the color and composition of Western paintings,and shaping the vocabulary of three-dimensional paintings,bringing a new look to meticulous painting.However,it also brings new problems.For example,the “linear beauty” brought about by “line” was originally a major feature of Chinese meticulous painting,but in the process of modern development,the linear beauty of the line has a tendency to be constantly weakened.Therefore,the phenomenon of "linear weakening" has become a problem of creation that deserves attention.This paper attempts to use Chinese traditional painting as the cornerstone,take the line as the starting point,analyze the "linear beauty",reflect the artistic characteristics of the Chinese nation,and discuss the issue of the "linear weakening" on the "linear beauty" of meticulous painting,and explore China.The artist learns,draws on and innovates in different ways of presenting things.In view of the professional master’s degree requirements of the Huaqiao University Academy of Fine Arts,graduation thesis and graduation creation must be closely integrated.Therefore,this paper illustrates the theoretical research and creative practice of linear beauty in meticulous painting through the combination of works analysis,literature reference and creative practice.
