The Progress Of Modernist Features In Wang Wenxing's Novels

Wang Wenxing is a representative of modernist literature in Taiwan in the1960 s.From the University,he began writing his first novel,and in decades,he has always adhered to and exploration of modernist literature and art.Although his works is not much,but they are very important.His representative works include,short Stories Fifteen Novels,two novels Family changes and The man back to the sea.Wang Wenxing's novel writing process is relatively clear,the short stories with the characteristics of modernism in the early stage,exploring the theme and writing techniques of the novel.In the middle period of creation,he began to try to create a long and published Family changes.in the latter period of creation,he wroted The man who back to the sea a fantastic modernist novel.The introduction part summarizes the significance of the topic,the research status and the research scope and methods of the novel.The main body is divided into four chapters:The first chapter,Wang Wenxing and Taiwan modernism novel.This chapter first introduces the background of Wang Wenxing's family and its growth process.And then combined with the background of the times,reseaching development situation and characteristics of Taiwan modern novels in Japan,and 60's.The second chapter,the modern characteristics of Wang Wenxing's early novels.This chapter focuses on the themes and writing techniques of Wang Wenxing's early novels.The themes of the early novels are divided into:one is a daily life;two is the young students living on campus;three is fate and insight.In the writing technique,Wang Wenxing uses the novel technique of stream of consciousness or monologue to reveal the inner activities of the characters.The third chapter,the gradual maturity of the medium term about art features of Family changes.This chapter first discusses the different topics about Family changes,divided into filial piety,economy and civilization,against thetraditional.Then it explores the language innovation of ut Family changes,such as weird lamented the auxiliary,long sentences,a part of speech repetition and poetic text.At last,the structure of the two time axes in the past and the present is studied.The fourth chapter,the late master work-"the man back to the sea" artistic characteristics.This chapter mainly explores the content and form of "the people of the sea" from the perspective of Existentialism in two aspects and analysis of "Ye" on the views of all kinds of things,such as religion,death,etc,to find out the meaning and value of human existence.The form of "the man back to the sea," narrating tone-monologue and stream of consciousness of the special analysis of Ye "bark" meaning.
