| This report is based on a business matchmaking interpreting task for Beckers’ Happy Care Management & Consulting Co.in Sino-Dutch Healthcare & Innovation Seminar,organized by Ministry of Health,Welfare and Sports,Kingdom of the Netherlands and Guangdong Health and Family Planning Commission,aiming to discuss the roles that interpreter play in business matchmaking interpreting.The purpose of this report is to improve the author’s interpreting skills and offer reference for other interpreters.This report consists of task description,process description,theoretical framework of the interpretation,case analysis and conclusion.Task description mainly gives a brief introduction to the background the interpreting,the entrusting party,and the features of liaison interpreting.The second part introduces the whole process of interpreting from three aspects: pre-task preparation,on-site interpreting and post-interpreting assessment.In the third part,the author discusses the theoretical basis for the interpreting task,the relevance theory by pragmatic professors He Ziran,besides,the triangular mode of interpretive theory of translation to analyze and counteract difficulties such as unknown terms and language redundancy during the interpreting process.In the fourth part,based on analysis,the cases are presented to show how the theory can be applied to explain the interpreting practice.In the end,a conclusion was drawn,by highlighting the major findings in the interpreting practice,limitations in the report and suggestions for future projects.To sum up,a clear understanding of the role can create a favorable working environment for the interpreter.Lucid explaination will help to communicate smoothly and effectively. |
