A Probe Into The Storytelling Presentation Of Documentary Films

Documentary has the function of recording historical events and disseminating information since its birth.With the development of documentaries,documentaries have become one of the main ways of documentary culture and dissemination of culture.In order to enhance the cultural and social value of documentaries,the creative techniques of documentaries tend to be storytelling.Storytelling,as a means of documentary creation,greatly strengthens the narrative of documentary and enhances the visibility of documentary.The documentary "Lonely shadow player" uses the narrative technique to record the daily life and real situation of a generation of shadow play people.Taking my graduation work "Lonely shadow player" as an example,this paper elaborates the definition and development of documentary storytelling.It studies and explores the combination of theory and practice from three aspects: narrative storytelling,filming storytelling and editing storytelling.The purpose is to present the current situation of shadow play people,to observe the inheritance of shadow play,and to examine the ecological pattern and development opportunities of the inheritance and development of traditional shadow play in Guanzhong by means of storytelling.
