Bamboo weaving handicrafts play a vital role in the Chinese local handicrafts.It permeated among all walks of life.Bamboo weaving,however,currently is on a margin of its development.Past decades have witnessed bamboo weaving handicrafts were substituted in bulk with industrial products due to social developments.Moreover,slow innovation of bamboo weaving handicrafts lags far behind from general material and spiritual demands among common people,which caused it's on the wane.It is of urgency to look for a new way infusing into bamboo weaving handicrafts.Researcher systematically analyzed the themes,patterns,textures,shadows and models of bamboo weaving products and conducted an in-depth research on bamboo weaving arts via a particular perspective Further research on the scenarios of successful bamboo handicrafts in a willing market both from China and western nations enables us to understand bamboo handicrafts'current values and status.Working with researcher' supervisor,Rongxing Zhang,over a year,the researcher learned different bamboo weaving skills and dig into current bamboo weaving arts.On the basis of Chinese contextualized cultures and researcher's decoration arts backdrops,this research aims to tap the new way infusing into bamboo weaving skills,products design,installation arts.
