The development of mobile Internet and the popularization of information products have brought new challenges and opportunities to the development of education and teaching. As a new thing in the era of mobile Internet, the micro-lecture has been favored by many scholars. With the idea of teacher-guided and student-centered,the micro-lecture combines the Internet, multimedia and teaching. And it integrates text, sound, image, animation and other functions to stimulate and mobilize students' learning initiative and enthusiasm to the greatest extent through the Internet platform.English grammar is an important part in the English teaching in senior high schools, and the subjunctive mood is an important and difficult testing point in the English grammar of College Entrance Examination. Many students learn the explicit knowledge of the subjunctive mood only by memorizing its rules, instead of internalizing its implicit knowledge. Therefore, the students often make mistakes in the application. How to combine the micro-lecture with subjunctive mood teaching and improve the efficiency of grammar teaching in senior high schools is worth studying.Based on the Constructivist Learning Theory and the Tower of Experience Theory, the thesis explores the application of micro-lectures used in the subjunctive mood teaching in senior high schools with the combination of the characteristics of micro-lectures and English grammar teaching,The subjects are 106 students from two parallel classes of grade two in No.2 middle school of L county in Hunan province, including an experimental class and a control class. The control class is taught the subjunctive mood grammar with the traditional method, while the experimental class with the micro-lecture to explore the following two questions:1)What are the effects of micro-lecture teaching on students' acquisition of explicit knowledge of English subjunctive mood ?2)What are the effects of micro-lecture teaching on students' acquisition of implicit knowledge of English subjunctive mood ?The data collected through tests and questionnaire before and after the experiment were analyzed with SPSS 24.0.Through the analysis of the empirical research results, the author has come to the following conclusions:Firstly, the scores on explicit knowledge of subjunctive mood for the experimental class are obviously higher than those of the control class. This shows that applying the micro-lecture to the teaching of subjunctive mood in senior high schools can obviously promote students' acquisition in explicit knowledge of subjunctive mood.Secondly, the scores on implicit knowledge of subjunctive mood for the experimental class are obviously higher than those of the control class. This shows that applying the micro-lecture to the teaching of subjunctive mood in senior high schools can obviously promote students' acquisition in implicit knowledge of subjunctive mood. This thesis is expected to help English teachers to make better use of micro-lectures in senior high schools, aiming to improve the efficiency of English grammar teaching. This thesis provides some empirical data for the relevant research and puts forward some suggestions for English grammar teaching in senior high schools.Affected by various factors, this study still has some limitations and deficiencies, which needs to be improved in the future.
