"Over-Europeanization" And Its Avoidance Strategies In E-C Translation

This thesis,digging into the phenomena of Europeanization,discusses the differences between positive Europeanization and negative Europeanization and then draws out the conception and causes of over-Europeanization.Over-Europeanization is caused by translators' ignorance of the characteristics of the Chinese language and Chinese psychology.In order to avoid over-Europeanized sentences,this thesis puts forward several strategies through studying the translation of Character Education and the Performance of Citizenship in Glee: properly changing the lexical category and collocation;respectively converting English passive,subject-predicate,form-prominent,and tree-structured sentences into Chinese active,topic-comment,logic-prominent,and bamboo-structured sentences.
