The High Dynamic Range(HDR)image technology is a technology that is generated with the development of digital film(video)cameras,digital image processing technologies,and display technologies in recent years.It's aimed at reducing the quality loss in the process of image acquisition and processing,increasing image details,and expanding the dynamic range(1)of the display device so that it can display high dynamic range images that are visually closer to the real scene.Currently,the HDR standard is not uniform,and the penetration rate of civilian and professional HDR display devices is relatively low.The HDR video content production industry at home and abroad is in its infancy and has not formed a complete production process.Based on the research and development status of HDR image technology at home and abroad,this paper starts from the multiple exposure methods of early photography to the present HDR image technology based on display devices,and sorts out the current development context of HDR image technology all over the world.This paper also analyses the key technology formats-Dolby Vision,HDR10,HDR10+ and HLG(Hybrid Log-Gamma).In addition,this paper researches the HDR image production process,explores the application of HDR image technology in live broadcasting and post-production areas,and focuses on the production process and methods of HDR images in the post-production field.In addition,in order to minimize the loss of image quality in the post-production process,this paper studies the Academy Color Encoding System(ACES)and combines it with the post-production of HDR images to propose a post-production solution of HDR images based on ACES.Finally,we create a HDR video with the Mistika color grading system and the SONY BVM-X300 monitor in that method,and summarize the problems involved in the production process.This paper summarizes the current HDR image technologies and production solutions,and covers the technical details involved in shooting,data transmission and displaying.We hope that it can be used as a reference for relevant practitioners in China.The ACES-based HDR image post-production solution proposed in this paper has the advantages of small image quality loss,uniform material exchange format,and simplified post-production process.In short,the technical research and production solution design of HDR images in this paper would help film and TV production of HDR images.
