Against the background of globalization and information era,the demand for translation is growing rapidly.Although machine translation boasts the advantages of high efficiency and low cost, its quality is still unable to meet the customer's requirements.However,post-editing can make up for the shortage of machine translation. Therefore, many language service providers have gradually adopted the mode of machine translation with post-editing on a large scale. This report is based on the translation of the first two chapters of Supply Chain Risk Management: An Emerging Discipline. The source text is an informative one, which is characterized by frequent and sometimes repeated use of terminologies. Therefore,it is suitable to be dealt with in the mode of machine translation and post-editing with a computer-aided translation tool.By comparison, the author finally chooses Atman,a built-in MT engine of TransGod,to pre-translate the source text.Under the guidance of TAUS's MT Post-editing Guidelines, the post-editing work for the target text generated by Atman is carried out.During this task, the author summarizes the error model of machine translation, combined with the previous studies of domestic scholars.Within the model, the author classifies the identified MT errors into lexical, syntactic and discourse types. Then, the author discusses approaches to producing high-quality post-editing work by analyzing error examples produced by machine translation.Through this translation practice, the author expects to provide some reference for other researchers in this direction.
