A Study On The Use Of Sound In Documentary Films

Sound is one of the most intuitive ways of expression in documentaries.In documentaries,sound can bring good viewing effect to the audience if used properly.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first part is the introduction.The research method of this paper is mainly through literature search,text analysis and case analysis.The second part is about the relationship between sound and painting in documentaries and the relationship between sound and painting.The relationship between sound and painting is divided into two levels.The relationship between sound and painting and the relationship between sound and painting are combined with classical documentaries as analysis and research.The third part is about the types of sound and the role of sound use in documentaries,which are elaborated from four aspects: commentary,synchronization sound,natural sound and music.The commentary is studied from three perspectives,synchronization sound is developed from the dialogue of characters,interview words and natural sound,while the source of music is divided into the inside and outside of the picture.Using the research and reflection in the documentary creation,this paper explores the radio requirements and the problems of avoiding the sound when editing in the sound research.In the reflection,it takes the documentary "They Two" as the main example to reflect on the sound application.
