Study On Landscape Paintings In The Middle And Late Yuan Dynasty

The rulers of Yuan dynasty carried out a series of policies in politics,economy,culture and so on.Literary people have no hope of official career,so they place their emotional sustenance in literature and artistic creation.In the early Yuan dynasty,under the advocacy of Zhao Mengfu “class”,a great calligrapher and painter,the atmosphere of “restoring ancient ways”permeated the painting circle of the whole Yuan dynasty.therefore,the landscape painting of the Yuan dynasty attached great importance to “ancient ideas”and the appearance of landscape painting was greatly different from that of the southern Song dynasty.In the Yuan dynasty,the literati's aesthetic gradually changed to the simple and elegant style,which finally made the literati abandon the gorgeous style of painting in the southern Song dynasty and turn to painting to express their feelings.Although Huang Gongwang,Ni Zan and Wang Meng also learned from Dong Yuan and Ju Ran created their own style of painting,they established the status of light crimson landscape painting in the painting circle.Has had the enormous influence to the later generation landscape painting color.This paper takes the evolution of the aesthetics of literati and landscape painting in the Yuan dynasty as the clue and gives examples of three typical painter's painting works for research.In order to apply it's coloring techniques to the actual creation.
