This article is an interpretation and study of the writing of love in Graham Green's novels.Green described the picture of the de-eroticization world in the 20 th century with real brushstrokes. In this world, the faith is missing, morality is lost, and God hides. In the face of this situation,Green explored the human quality in his creation and showed its importance.Eros is the core driving force of his "hero" character action. The transcendence of eroticism can not only achieve the individual's moral turn, but also achieve the return of the best value in the human condition. The erotic writing conveys his humanistic concern for the general public and expresses his intention to create a new world of ethics. The thesis is divided into three chapters in addition to the introduction and conclusion. The first chapter explains the reasons of Greene's "writing of love and desire" : complex personal experience makes him convinced of the existence of the best value, and at the same time makes his heart filled with love;the modern atomic living environment of human beings makes him spontaneously explore the way of redemption. In addition,it also sorts out the concept of eroticism in Green's novels, and its "love" eroticism and "benevolent" erotic expression of eroticism. The second chapter analyzes the content of the text in detail, revealing that the manifestation of the monism in Green's novels is the lack of love and desire and the lack of value-oriented desire. It also discusses the ways in which erotic desires transcend the solipsism,in order to realize the dialogue relationship between the individual and the society, and open the path of the individual to the society. The third chapter explores and summarizes the expansion of love desire from the private sphere to the public domain in Green's novels according to the reality of the novel, and clarifies that Green intends to lay a new political order with the core trait of "the responsibility for others".
