On The Artistic Pursuit Of The Suspicious Films By New Directors In The New Century

Suspense movies are based on sophisticated narration,combining action,crime,thriller and other elements.However,most suspense movies in China often have such problems as incomplete narrative structure and incomplete logic.Since the beginning of the new century,a group of new Chinese directors have noticed this phenomenon,and through exploration and practice,the original silent domestic suspense films have gradually blossomed brilliantly.This paper explores the artistic pursuit of suspense films by new directors from the following aspects.The first chapter analyses the unique and arduous way of suspense creation of new Chinese directors in the new century from three aspects: creative environment,reasons for creation,challenges and predicaments.The second chapter first deeply excavate the realistic foundation behind the suspense that the new directors intentionally bury by analyzing the reappearance or performance of the films.And then it analyses the artistic construction of the so-called suspense in suspense films from three aspects: theme,plot and characters.Chapter three starts from the common multi-line and complex narrative tendency of the new directors,and then explains the black elements in the films from the gloomy image style,the double effects of chance and absurdity and the consciousness transmission from negative to change,so as to prove the artistic reference and innovation of the new directors for the experience of genre films.Chapter four analyses the defects and shortcomings of the films on the basis of comparing the similarities and differences between the artistic creations of the new directors in the field of suspense from three aspects: similarities of narrative factors,lack of entertainment spirit and critical breakdown.
