English grammar has great influences on sentence structures,and it plays an important role in senior high school English teaching and learning.However,at present,the results of senior high school English grammar teaching are unsatisfactory: On the one hand,many students don't have positive learning attitudes to develop good learning habits and skills;on the other hand,most English teachers apply a conventional and boring mode to teach English grammar.In this mode,students are passive learners,lacking of interest,and their participation in the class activities is limited too.Concerning to this situation,changing the traditional classroom teaching mode is one of the ways to solve those problems.Therefore,the flipped classroom teaching is carried out to explore a more effective mode in high school English grammar teaching.After referring to some successful studies and experience of flipped classroom teaching mode abroad and at home,this thesis employs the constructivism theory,cone learning theory,autonomous learning theory and cooperative learning as the theoretical basis.The research questions are as follows:1)Can the flipped classroom teaching mode stimulate students' interest in their English grammar learning? If so,to what extent?2)Can the flipped classroom teaching mode improve students' ability in their English grammar learning? If so,to what extent?3)Does the flipped classroom teaching mode have positive impacts on teachers' grammar teaching? If yes,to what extent?Two classes of Senior One in Meitan Qiushi Senior High School were chosen as the research subjects and the effects of the flipped classroom teaching mode were studied in this experiment by adopting literature research,questionnaires,interviews,tests and class observation.The research results show that the flipped classroom teaching mode can help students eliminate their fear of grammar learning,arouse their interest,cultivate good learning attitudes and habits,and improve their cooperation sense.In the end,some implications,limitations and suggestions are explained,too.
