The series film,as a special type,contain some considerable advantages whether in dissemination of culture and dominance of film market,what represented by the Hollywood which has ability to dominant the Chinese film market.Through the observation of Chinese box office ranking,at least one series film,come from Hollywood,could be won the top three every year.From 2003 to 2017,the series films,the pirates of the Caribbean and its every singles,has all entered the top ten ranking of the year.Also,the series of the Pirates of the Caribbean were always listed in the nomination of the Academy Award for Best Picture of the Oscar.Especially,the second single of the Pirates of the Caribbean has won the 79 th Oscar Golden Statuettes,the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects,based on the high level produce ability.This series was successful whether in box office of the market or reputation in movie industry.This paper analyze several aspects such as the movie symbol,story narrative,strategic of cultural identity and audience allocation from both perspectives of semiotics and intercultural communication.It attempts to summarize the common advantages in Hollywood's series films for exploring the experiences of intercultural communication that can be used as references by the domestic film industry for its own improvement.Base on the current circumstances of predicament,it aims to initiate some suggestions for the development of domestic series film,as well as some accessable communication strategics for strengthening the reputation oversea.This paper consider that the causes of incapability of the communication of domestic films,both low capability of story telling and indistinct movie symbol,are two major reasons.Consequently,the story narrative cannot be absorbable and understandable by foreign audiences smoothly,thus,become a barrier that influence the communication of movie's value negatively.Moreover,most of the domestic films become entertainmentized.The industry should focus on the audiences allocation globally and promote theconventional culture,which could be a key to develop the Chinese tradition internationally.Also,the industry might need to pay a serious attention to the film of symbol and story narrative.So it might produces the works that can be appreciated by the global audiences.
