Emotional regulation refers to the process that influences the type, timing, internal experience and external expression of an individual's emotions in a particular situation.Based on the emotional process,Gross proposed the emotional regulation process model to divide the emotion regulation strategy into five categories: situation selection, situation modification, attentional deployment, cognitive change and response modulation. The extended emotional regulation process model further indicates that the emotional regulation process includes three evaluation systems: identification stage, selection stage and implement stage. The research on how to choose the emotion regulation strategies based on the individual has become a new theme of emotional regulation research. This study uses a combination of questionnaires and classical emotional regulation to select experimental paradigms.Based on the perspective of person-situational interaction, this paper explores the influence of the person-situational interaction on emotional regulation choices.Firstly, through the questionnaire survey method, the influences of demographic variables, personality traits and adult attachment on individual emotion adjustment choices were investigated from the inter-subject level. Then, using the experimental paradigm of emotional regulation choice, the emotional stimulation effect was examined from the inner level of the subjects. The influence of valence and intensity,as well as the direction of emotional regulation on the individual's emotional regulation choices;finally, from the mixed level, the individual and situational factors were analyzed interactively. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Emotional regulation choices differ significantly in different genders, ages, household registration sites, onlychild or not, childhood trauma experiences and adult attachment style.Male college students and older college students use suppression more.anxiety-type individuals use more distraction,safety-type individuals use reappraisal strategies more, and anxiety-type and avoidant individuals use suppression strategies more.Personality traits and adult attachment levels can predict an individual's emotional regulation choices.(2)Emotional regulation choices differ significantly in different emotional valence, intensity, and regulational directions. In the low intensity and reducing, individuals choose Attentional Deployment more;in the negative, low intensity and increase regulation, individuals choose the Cognitive Change more;in the positive, high intensity and reducing, individuals choose Response Modulation more.Cognitive changes hedonistic emotional regulation goals,Attentional Deployment and Response Modulation are more used for more non-hedonism emotional regulation goals.Attentional Deployment is used more for regulating high-intensity negative emotions,Cognitive Change is used more for regulating low-intensity negative emotions;for positive emotions, there is such a tendency only when reducing regulation;in anti-natural adjustment, individuals choose Response Modulation more.(3)Emotional regulation choices have significant interactions between demographic variables and situational factors.Only the choice of Cognitive Change is influenced by the interaction of personality traits and situational factors.Emotional regulation choices are influenced by the interaction of adult attachment and situational factors.
